The US Motors Neptune NPTQ165 will replace any 48Y/56Y motor ranging in horsepower power from .5hp up 1.65THP and is incredibly easy to use. The drive control features large up and down arrows to easily navigate through menus and settings, as well as easy one touch 10 RPM adjustments to fine tune your flow rate. You can program up to seven on/off time and speed schedules. If being meticulous isn’t your thing it will come preprogrammed with three ready to go energy savings schedules, just set the current time and date. Cleaning is easy with a single button to run the motor at full speed for 30 minutes. The LCD display displays the current time and operating speed, current mode of operation/time remaining, and the estimated amount of power draw. It’s also easy to take control manually with three one touch speed settings: Speed 1 = 1350 RPM Speed 2 = 1725 RPM Speed 3 = 2760 RPM Increased demand on the power grid, rising energy costs and environmental concerns have prompted many states to enact legislation requiring the use of more energy efficient pool motor products.
